Recruiting Process
Are you interested in joining an organization as remarkable as Novant Health? We’re looking forward to learning more about you. This section of the site discusses our recruiting process and how you can best work through this process.
Nursing Students and New Grads
Since you’re just getting started in healthcare, we’ll do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible for you.
New Grad Residency Program
Novant Health’s RN New Grad Residency Program will allow new graduate RNs time to gradually assume the duties and responsibilities that accompany the nursing role, under the direction and guidance of a preceptor and other members of the healthcare team. The program also assures alignment with the Institute of Medicine's (IOM) recommendations for advancing the future of nursing practice.
We will hire into the residency program three times per year. Click here for additional details.
Student Nurse Apprentice Program (SNAP)
We also offer a Student Nurse Apprentice Program (SNAP) in the summer of 2012 in the greater Winston-Salem area. Participants will gain the valuable experience of working closely with a RN preceptor to assist in providing care for a wide variety of patients in a designated unit. Hands-on experience and observation opportunities give a greater understanding of the field of nursing. The SNAP program is available to nursing students who are currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed their junior year of RN training (one or two semesters from graduation).
